Description

Current endocrine treatments for breast cancer can cause substantial bone loss, especially in postmenopausal women. This presentation will summarize the current issues with bone loss as a side effect of breast cancer therapy, discuss current strategies for prevention of this bone loss, and introduce evidence that treatment of bone loss in postmenopausal women with breast cancer may actually prevent breast cancer recurrence.
