Description

This talk focuses on rapidly growing transradial approach for cardiac catheterization and for coronary intervention. As compared to transfemoral approach, transradial catheterization reduces complication rate, increases patient safety. In high-risk patients such as acute coronary syndrome there is some emerging evidence that this approach also reduces mortality. At the end of the talk, participants will understand why the transradial approach is better, its indications, its contraindications and some technical aspects.
