Description

At the end of the lecture, the audience should be able to:

1. Appreciate that a pregnant woman with a history of Graves' disease, status post radioiodine ablation, may still have significant circulating TSHR-Ab, necessitating consideration of managing two patients.

2. Understand the implications of discovery of fetal goiter in a mother with a history of autoimmune hypothyroidism, on replacement I-thyroxine.

3. Be familiar with the impact of excess maternal iodine ingestion after delivery in a nursing mother, with apparent "late-onset congenital hypothyroidism" in neonate.
