Description

In this talk, Dr. Horowitz will create a framework for understanding new diabetes drugs and evaluating their utility in the clinical setting. At the end of this presentation, the learner will be better able to: Identify appropriate targets for glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes; Understand the action, pharmacology and physiologic effect of new drugs for type 2 diabetes; Assess risks, benefits, costs of these drugs; and Apply clinical guidelines for choosing and combining diabetes drugs.
