Description

1. To introduce the concept of chromosomal alterations, namely polyploidy and aneuploidy.

2. To describe extensive chromosomal alterations in the healthy adult liver and the present a mechanism linking polyploidy and aneuploidy.

3. To demonstrate a role for hepatic aneuploidy in adaptation to chronic liver disease.
