Description

TOPIC: “Delivering a lifestyle intervention through an electronic health record: baseline data and lessons learned from the MAINTAIN-pc study” ABSTRACT: Maintaining Activity and Nutrition through Technology-Assisted Innovation in Primary Care (MAINTAIN-pc) is an ongoing randomized clinical trial of a behavioral lifestyle intervention for weight management delivered through the patient portal of an electronic health record in coordination with primary care. This presentation will focus on the technology build required to deploy this innovative intervention, recruitment and enrollment data, baseline descriptive statistics on the cohort, and preliminary program use data. Topics addressed will include lessons learned, interdisciplinary collaboration, and future research using similar protocols to manage other chronic conditions.
