Description

Placental trophoblast derived vesicles, including exosomes, serve as a unique carrier at the maternal fetal interface. I will provide an overview of this fast-growing field of extracellular vesicles. I will present our current research on miRNA content and protein cargo of trophoblastic vesicles, and the functional relevance of trophoblastic exosome-associated proteins to viral infection.
