Description

Little is known about the burden of antibiotic use in reproductive-aged women or its impact on the rectovaginal microbiome. This presentation will provide an overview of antibiotic use in nonpregnant women, as well as the association of specific classes of antibiotics with rectovaginal colonization by beneficial lactobacilli and the development of yeast vaginitis.
