The Provost’s Inaugural Lecture series invites University of Pittsburgh faculty members to give a lecture marking their recent appointments to endowed chairs. Dr. Bayır is the Professor of Critical Care Pediatric Research in the Department of Critical Care Medicine. Her research focuses on traumatic brain injury and on treating mitochondrial injury and dysfunction by targeting oxidative stress.
