Description

The attendee will be able to:

1. Describe major features of the ghrelin system, includingsites and processes controlling ghrelin production and ghrelin system action.

2. Review the literature and our research demonstrating roles for and mechanisms of action of ghrelin in mood-related behaviors and eating behaviors induced by caloric restriction and psychological stress.

3. Propose a model in which ghrelin both signals and responds to states of relative hypoglycemia.
