The purpose of the Murray Sachs, MD Lectureship is to recognize the lifetime accomplishments of this remarkable physician and role model, and to perpetuate his high standards of patient care and continuing education. The objectives of this year’s lecture will be to understand the updated ATS-ERS definition of severe asthma, to develop a rational approach to the patient who presents with difficult asthma, and to incorporate identification of asthma phenotypes into treatment of severe asthma.
