The Shape of Water

April 25, 2013
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Room 109 Parran Hall, Graduate School of Public Health

This feature documentary tells the stories of powerful, imaginative, and visionary women as they confront and respond to change in their corners of the developing world. The rise of globalization, the end of the Cold War, environmental degradation, and failed development efforts have increasingly feminized poverty despite women’s entry into the labor force in unprecedented numbers. This film explores women’s efforts to generate vibrant alternatives by addressing the root causes of poverty in places like Brazil, Senegal, Israel, and India.
