·Center for Injury Research & Control Conducts injury control research, gathers and disseminates information on injuries, provides training for health care professionals, and informs the public and community leaders on injury control measures.
·Central Blood Bank Central Blood Bank operates 22 Community Donor Centers in Western Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia. All centers collect Whole Blood donations and six of the sites also operate as Apheresis Centers to collect Platelet and Plasma Products.

The CRIS will provide guidance in accessing non-identifying information about patients and subjects in particular categories both to assist directly in retrospective clinical research analyses and to estimate the potential pool of study participants in a proposed project.
